On the bridge, a firefight erupts. Jinx shoots Caitlyn in the side. Vi is forced to choose: chase Jinx or save Caitlyn. Gritting her teeth, Vi saves Caitlyn, carrying her back to Piltover. Jinx, watching them leave, whispers, “She’s not my sister anymore.” In Piltover, Jayce has become disillusioned. He sees the council’s corruption and is haunted by the cost of his progress. Viktor, his body now half-metal and sustained by a dangerous, sentient Hexcore (a magical heart that is beginning to think for itself), reveals his Shimmer augmentation. Jayce is horrified. Their partnership fractures.

Horrified by the violence he caused, Jayce calls a truce. He goes behind Vi’s back and meets Silco. He offers Zaun its complete independence in exchange for Silco handing over Jinx. Silco, who genuinely loves Jinx as a daughter, is torn. But he agrees, believing he can later double-cross Jayce.

The council of Piltover, led by the cold matriarch , demands justice. The enforcer Marcus is tasked with hunting down the “terrorists” from Zaun. Jayce, meanwhile, is nearly expelled for his dangerous magical experiments. He is saved by his partner, the brilliant and terminally ill scientist Viktor , and Mel herself, who sees Hextech as a weapon to secure Piltover’s future. arcane temporada 1

Powder, alone and betrayed, walks into Silco’s arms. He kneels, wipes the shimmering purple tears from her face, and says, “Your sister is gone. But you… you’re perfect.” He renames her . Act II: The Rise of Hextech and the Fall of Zaun Years later. Vi has been beaten in a dark prison cell for half a decade. Jinx has become Silco’s psychotic, brilliant daughter and chief weapons designer, building rocket launchers, chomper grenades, and fear itself. Piltover is transformed. Jayce and Viktor have perfected Hextech, creating Hexgates (teleportation portals) that make Piltover the world’s trade capital. Jayce is a beloved celebrity and a new councilor. Viktor, however, is dying, his body failing from a lifetime of Zaun’s toxic air.

With help from Caitlyn, Vi breaks out. Vi is feral, vengeful, and single-minded. She wants only one thing: find Silco and find Jinx. Caitlyn agrees to help, becoming Vi’s “topside” guide. On the bridge, a firefight erupts
