Has anyone here ever gotten more than a generic reply from BVG? Or am I just shouting into the void? P.S. – The BVG complaint form is also available in English if you click the little flag icon on their website. Don’t let the German bureaucracy scare you off.

That’s annoying but not complaint-worthy on its own. What pushed me over the edge was the response (or lack thereof) from the customer service point at the station. The employee just shrugged and said, “Not my problem.”

I’ve always defended the BVG. Berlin’s public transport is generally reliable, and the €29 ticket is a great deal. But after this morning, I finally snapped and filed a formal Beschwerde .

Here’s what happened:

The U-Bahn was 12 minutes late – no announcement. Then it was so overcrowded that people couldn’t get off at their stop. When I finally arrived at my connecting station, the S-Bahn (also BVG-run on that line) left 2 minutes early. Total delay: 25 minutes.
