There is a specific kind of dread that only Call of Duty: World at War (CoD: WaW) can provide. Released in 2008, Treyarch’s masterpiece remains the gold standard for WWII shooters, largely thanks to its gritty campaign and the origin of Nazi Zombies .

But if you are still playing the base game, you are missing out on half the fun. The three DLC packs—, Map Pack 2 , and Map Pack 3 —added some of the best multiplayer maps and the iconic Zombie maps that started it all (looking at you, Der Riese ).
