With the increasing availability of high-definition (HD) and 4K films, coupled with the growing demand for subtitles in local languages, the trend of downloading films with Indonesian subtitles has become a phenomenon in Indonesia. This paper explores the trend of downloading films in 4K with Indonesian subtitles, examining the impact of technology and language on film consumption in Indonesia. Through a mixed-methods approach, this study reveals the motivations, preferences, and behaviors of Indonesian film enthusiasts in downloading films with subtitles.
This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data. A survey was conducted among 500 Indonesian film enthusiasts who regularly download films with Indonesian subtitles. The survey aimed to gather data on their demographics, film preferences, and downloading behaviors.
