Mina trips. She looks back. The woman in black marble is standing at the edge of the fissure. She is not a ghost. She is a negative space—a hole in the shape of a person. She raises one stone hand.

But Leo, desperate for redemption, volunteers for the next trial—which the producers relocate directly above the fissure . The trial: “Hades’ Larder.” Leo must unlock six chests filled with fermented offal and eels. Halfway through, the thrumming returns. The lights flicker. Leo freezes, then smiles—a smile that isn’t his.

The show’s host, the usually cheerful Jack Merriweather, stops joking. In a behind-the-scenes clip (included as a Blu-ray extra), he tells a producer: “Pull them. I don’t care about the ratings.”
