The dusty plains of Rajasthan held many secrets, but none darker than the massacre at the Thakur estate. Twenty years ago, Thakur Durjan Singh, a man whose heart was as barren as the desert, murdered the kind Thakur Ram Singh for his land. When Ram Singh’s two young sons, Karan and Arjun, swore to bring him to justice, Durjan had them captured. The elder, named Vijay, was calm, calculating, and skilled with a blade. The younger, named Suraj, was wild, impulsive, and stronger than any man in the district.

They were fifteen when the nightmares began.

Durjan arrived with fifty armed men. He was old but cruel, his fingers heavy with stolen rings. He saw the two young men standing in the moonlight and laughed.
