A pressure. A weight. As if the console itself had grown a phantom limb.

Slowly, almost against his will, he slid his thumb across the empty slot. The metal contacts were warm. He tapped Launch > EmuMMC

And in the photo, someone was standing behind the frosted glass. Wearing a long coat. Holding something small and rectangular.

“Okay, baby,” he whispered to the console, popping the SD card out of his dongle and slotting it back into his modded Switch. The RCM jig was already wedged in the right rail. He held Volume Up, tapped Power, and the screen stayed black. Good. He was in Recovery Mode. Leo dropped the console
