The Lightning Thief (Audible or Libby). Give it 2 full chapters. If you still hate Bernstein’s voice by then, switch to print – but 95% of listeners fall in love by the bus scene with Grover. Audiobook + physical book for re-reads. First time? Audio is actually better because Bernstein’s timing improves the jokes. 8. Common Questions Q: Do I need to listen to the “Demigod Diaries” or other short stories? A: Not for the main plot. They’re fun extras. Listen after The Last Olympian if you want.
A: No. It sets up the entire Roman demigod world. Listen anyway – Joshua Swanson grows on you.
