"What is that?" Xhu Xhu whispered.

But late that night, she found a new notebook slipped under her pillow. On the first page, in Kasha's handwriting:
"Jules," he said slowly. "Where did you get this?"
The third time, a letter was taped to her dressing room mirror. Typewritten on yellowed paper:
And beneath that, a single diagram: a circle with a smaller circle inside it, labeled The Nest .
Kasha leaned forward. The ghost light's glow filtered through the floorboards above, striping her face. "Because Volume 11 is the last one I can help with. After this, the movements change. They stop being about the body and start being about what the body can forget ."
