360 Android Emulator — Xbox

The Xbox 360 is a legend. For many of us, it was the console of a generation—hosting late-night Halo 3 matches and Gears of War co-op sessions. But in 2025, the modding and homebrew community is still asking a bold question: Can I turn my old Xbox 360 into an Android TV box?

Because the Xbox 360 can run Linux. Through the old or DashLaunch homebrew exploits, you can install a modified version of Linux (like Gentoo or Debian) on a JTAG/RGH modded console.

Once Linux is running, you can theoretically install (a generic emulator) inside that Linux environment. QEMU can emulate an ARM processor, and on that virtual ARM processor, you can boot Android.

Do not buy an Xbox 360 to run Android apps. The hardware is too old, the architecture is wrong, and the effort required (hard-modding your console with a JTAG) is not worth the slideshow performance.
